ISSUES OR THINGS THAT INDIVIDUALS WOULD LIKE TO SEE CHANGED:

HCDT: NONE

JCDT:

  1. More positive rewards.
  2. Bad individuals receive all the attention, good individuals fade into the background.
  3. Switch trainers more often.

PCWS:

  1. More fairness.
  2. More outings.
  3. Go to Paducah.
  4. More work.
  5. Want to be at the DT site more than at the Workshop setting.

STRENGTHS:

  • Individuals are very visible in the community and have a variety of work opportunities available in community-based settings.
  • Small settings that allow for individuals to be served on a more personal level.

WEAKNESSES:

  • The JCDT site is small and, at times, we see maladaptive behaviors as a result of being cramped in small areas.
  • New DSPs are younger and have limited job experience in working with individuals with disabilities.
